Mrs Gosling, Seaton Delaval

Mrs Gosling required a ramping access to her front door to allow her in and out of her property. A step unit would be fitted to the threshold platform for ambulant access to the rear garden. An internal solution was also required to provide level access.

We were originally asked by a Community Occupational Therapist to carry out a feasibility survey for ramping to both front and rear of Mrs Gosling’s property. A small portable solution was suggested and installed in 2014 however the rear option was not required at that time.

Following a failed installation by a local contractor we were then approached by a local Counsellor and asked to install the previously quoted suggestion for ramping to the rear of the property as a priority installation.

Mrs Gosling is now able to safely move in and out of her property in her wheelchair using access to both front and rear of the property.

“I’ve now been to the property and apart from the fact that Mrs Gosling is delighted with the ramp and it is as strong and well designed as she had hoped, she is ‘over the moon’ with the courtesy and workmanship of the two young men who built the ramp. Mrs Gosling would like to extend her gratitude to the men involved.” Occupational Therapist
